On 20 th February 2019, Retired Justice Mr. P. C. Ghosh has been appointed as first ‘Lokapal’ of India along with 8 nos. other members. There has been long pending demand for this for arresting corruption. No action was taken in last five years. Keeping eye on Voters vote now this action is taken by Government.
*As per clause no. (VII) (vi)(d)* “From the time elections are announced by the Commission, Ministers & other authorities shall not make any ad-hoc appointments in Government, which may have the effect of influencing the voters in favour of the party in power.”
In view of above I request you to give directive instructions to concerned to cancel these appointments.
