Bihar is blessed with a land more fertile for revolutions than any in India. Why has it fallen so far behind then? Constant obsession with politics is at the root of its destruction.
1. After the Sugauli treaty both sides decided the border, And a map of Nepal and India was produced by East India Company which both side signed.
2. Later in 1857 new map appeared, who made it? We dont know because when you change border both side need to agree, Since there is no proof that there was consultation between British raj and Nepal, this new map is illegal. So, As far as Nepal is concerned map of 1816 is official and valid.
3. The new map whoever produced it, is not signed by Nepal, was not informed by British raj to Nepal.
4. There are many other maps which show Lipmpuyadhura stream is the origin of kali river.
5. This truth so absolute that even India when producing new map in November 2, 2020 made a honest mistake showing Limpuyadhura stream as kali river. But after a week they changed.
6. Among three streams originating from that area, other two are smaller, it is international recognized/accepted norm that bigger stream is always the main one. Hence the Limpuyadhura which Nepal is claiming, which was agreed with East India company is the origin of kali tiver.
7. I have heard many Indian saying “oh that is strategically important to India, we can not get out of there.” India has to understand because it is strategically important, they can’t grab neighbors land. So keeping good relation with Nepal is not strategically important to India?
8. Some Indians even go farther and say “well, India has military presence there since 1962, so it belongs to India.” This logic is hilarious Pakistan has occupied part of Kashmir since 1947, it should be theirs then. Also as per India, China has occupied many Indian territory why India is claiming it then?
9. There was no war between India and Nepal when India occupied that area because we didn’t have Army and we thought we can bring back that part by talk.
10. India is a new country it seems it does not know how to behave with its friendly neighbor. On the other hand being oldest country in South Asia Nepal is dealing very maturely with every neighbor.
11. Because of these obvious reason Nepal has to produce its political based on treaty she signed not on sets of imaginations.
12. It is better for India if she stops imagining Chinese ghost on every legitimate move Nepal makes
