I can recall my school days when one of our colony uncle brought this Rohini Delux. we the gang of high school students got the information that there is a big fish skeleton is to be fixed on roof top called antenna to see people in a magic box called TV. we ran to his house, that was like a festival kind of atmospherics seen. people gathered near hi 2 stored residence to watch how the uncle is adjusting the antenna by moving to different directions. he invited all of us to his house. we all sat together in from of that magic box with folded hand and closed eyes. the uncle opened the shutter of the tv and said us to open our eyes. we experienced a sand storm kind of black and white faded picture with movement of dusts. ha ha ha. he adjusted the picture and the seen of P.T.Usha running on the track with a lighted torch in her hand to light the main huge lamp of the Asian game. i went back of the tv to search how that athlete interred in the box, is there and back door in the tv ? ha ha ha
I remember my child when my brother, sister and I run to watch movie and other programs to one of my neighbor who had Konark TV. Many people of our village gather around the TV on Sunday and other days. Hardly anyone feel the importance of Konark TV today. But that was once center of unity.
