China’s interest in Nepal is over a decade old, but the watershed moment was the 2015 Madhesi agitation and blockade, which was viewed as being India-backed.

I am really seek of such news from Indian media..
Being a neighbor.. You meddle too much in Nepal’s matter..
And stating relation between China and Nepal.. It’s similar one as yours.. We are neighbors.. Indian media are literally acting like a child.. As like.. If you are my friend then don’t talk to my enemy..type.. Ou…
China’s Foreign Policy of the 3Cs, cooperate when possible, compete when necessary and counteract when it must, with its competitors in its immediate neighborhood…see Simkhada- Shambhu Ram in A Resurgent China, South Asian Perspectives, Eds. S. D. Muni and Tan Tai Yong, Rutledge India, 2012
India’s disregard for other nations sovereignty goes well beyond Nepal India relationship. China Nepal relations have become somewhat better ever since India denied to recognize Nepals new constitution, and Indian government attempted an economic blockade. Nepal in no way wants India’s validation over constitution or indias take over national affairs. India has tried and influenced nepal politics for quite a whole and disagrees to talk over issues about border economy treaties etc.
Theres nothing wrong here Nepal is making allies dont trust shitty article like these
For many many decades, there has been a general accusation about India by the smaller neighbourers that India’s attitude towards them is not only that of Big Brother, but also disdainful, and negligent. Perhaps, this happens when the politicians do not give importance to the neighbourhood relations and leave it to bureaucrats to manage. It is a truism that India has the most arrogant bureaucracy. But, KP Sharma Oli is definitely wrong in thinking that China won’t show Big Brother atittude. In fact, some day, China may gobble up Nepal so that it comes so much closer to the warm waters of Bay of Bengal and Indian ocean. Mark my words. China looks ahead for fifty years, while Indian leaders cannot look beyond next election.
