As always, a brilliant and insightful piece by Shekhar Gupta! Its so true, the power of one! Many decades ago, one man, Mohandas Gandhi did the same for Indian politics – even today the Congress benefits from that association. More recently, a few good cricketers – Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath – pulled India out of the morass of match fixing by their own impeccable integrity. The runs they scored, or matches they won are par for course, but their lasting contribution is restoring India Cricket and sportsmanship back to its glory! Thank you for this wonderful piece!
The courage and convictions of the four judges in airing their grievances in public could have changed the the face of our judiciary but unfortunate meeting Mr,Raja with one of the judges , his subsequent comment on the matter and the press conference of the main opposition party in support of the judges has completely destroyed that opportunity.

This is bizarre.
What if tomorrow 5 more judges come out with a press conference and say all is well ??
Another Indian institution to be proud of is its military….
