All the actors were in a Gypsy car on the night of October 1, 1998 that night, with Salman Khan in the driving seat. He spotted a herd of blackbucks and killed two of them.

While we talk much about our military, we don’t put our national wallet where our mouth is. Nobody is saying we should double our defence spending, but current declining trend must be reversed.
Common people who visit wild life centuries /forests etc were earlier also not violating any rules and may not do the same in future also so far as hunting of endangered species
of animals and other prohibitive things are concerned .But long time taken by the Courts in holding the offenders guilty and procedure of appeals etc thereafter ,which further consumes long time, before a final decision is arrived at about the guilt or innocence of alleged offenders ,cannot deter influential and powerful people to keep away for not violating the rules in relation to protections of animals and other prohibited things in forest area etc. There is ban on cutting trees in forests ,but as per news ,tbe cutting is going on ,Every other day some or the other news comes from Kaziranga relating to killing of Rhinos and so on ,which shows that there is no deterrent as firstly offenders are sure that they may not be caught and if luckily for authorities ,some are apprehended ,they get away without punishment for various reasons ,which makes them and others to violate law again and again .
Why so fuss about Salman’s conviction and arrest. After all he has killed an endangered species, which is punishable under law and he got the punishment, which he deserves. Those who are saying about the punishment being little harsh because he is a celebrity, shall also realise that, he is an Indian first and then his next status. As a celebrity when speaks about social cause if people listen to him. Similarly, such an action would have definitely spurred others to be trigger happy with animals, especially those endangered species. Besides, why it is argued that, because he is a celebrity for which the law became harsh with him. This is a total disrespect towards Indian legal system. As you sow so you reap. You get kudos for the silent work under the Being Human, and you get brickbat for the blatant violation of rules.
Yes Salman Khan was convicted but meaning does it hold when he receives bail in 2 days the Verdict looks lime a joke a mockery of our system. Yes he had good clever lawyers to fight his case bit if it was a poor man that man would languish in jail and pay the price for his crime.
Its money power not true justice that we witness in India. Politicians and film stars are untouched by the law the common man is punishable by our laws for his crimes. Shame shame
At another level, if Salman Khan is granted bail tomorrow morning and his appeal then gets lost in an unending maze, it will become a little difficult for Indians to take the criminal justice system seriously.
