The Supreme Court has given its seal on treating CAPFs as organised services for all purposes, recommending progressively reducing the number of IPS officers deputed to the forces.
The CRPF officer has denied allegations of impersonation. The controversy comes amid a longstanding campaign among CAPFs to seek parity with IPS officers.
Let’s not mince words in condemning IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar's unprofessional comments about the integrity of CRPF, over which IPS wants to retain its stranglehold.
Trump’s OBBB is framed to augment domestic semiconductor production and enhance trade protection, even at the expense of certain social programs such as Medicaid, food stamps, and student loans, as well as a projected ballooning federal deficit from US$2.8 to 3.3 trillion
New bill aims to fix key issues with IBC 2016, including delays & patchy implementation, and protect creditors, with window for genuine promoters to retain control of their companies.
Billed as the military’s own version of Raisina Dialogue, the event will spotlight on tech-driven warfighting, lessons from Operation Sindoor and release of three new doctrines.
Now that both IAF and PAF have made formal claims of having shot down the other’s aircraft in the 87-hour war in May, we can ask a larger question: do such numbers really matter?
Its really very heartening to learn & know that your article received a thoughtful response from Sh K N Sharma, IPS (Retd.), who acknowledged the points raised with deep agreement. He reflected on how integrity, competence, and emotional intelligence once formed the bedrock of the service, qualities that seem increasingly diminished today across all cadres. His candid recognition of these challenges, along with his cautious optimism, underscores the urgent need for renewed commitment to core values. Such experienced perspectives add significant weight to the ongoing crusade. Sincerely wish & pray Almighty that more such Thinkers will fall in line & strengthen the movement spearheaded by Shri Gajender chaudhary….
The author has without doubt represented reflections of tens of thousands of officers of CAPFs who experience slower and mismatching career progression and are not destined to command the Force they are born in and raised in. It is the aspiration of every officer to progress with dignity and opportunities and to hang boots with contenment of having commanded the Force. But with doors of deputation wide open, the higher one grows, the narrower the path turns especially from senior level and to top it all the apex rank is not meant for him at all. Stringent promotion rules and narrower avenues frustrate officers at junior command level undermining their performance and efficiency and giving way to apathy and dispirited functioning, which is not a healthy sign for a disciplined and Command-driven Force that is engaged in Nation’s service and the most sensitive role of Security. What disheartens is what is denied is their due not something sought out of way. Added to the woes is that the Apex court has acknowledged what is rightful is being spurned and fairly pronounced the Judgement to do justice to longstanding struggle for identity of right, yet it has remained unimplemented and the doors are knocked to review it thereby leave thousands of officers in disappointment and distress for the sake of few. How fair it is where equality is regarded as the most sacred creed! Hopefully the voice of CAPFs will echo in the corridors of the Govt through this author’s efforts and final justice will be delivered to them. This is what is the aim of the legal battle this author is waging on one front and of the campaign he is making with pen on another front. Jai Hind. Jai Bharat.

The continued deputation of IPS officers to lead CAPFs evokes the image of colonial outposts being administered by viceroys.
