Also, if you live in India and read TOI you will be led to think the US and Americans are obsessed with India, while coverage of India here is next to nil. It’s a big disconnect that media has created in the minds of Indians living in India.
That said, are things going to get worse for non-Whites here? Probably yes. But I don’t think the Indian diaspora has a role to play. And the same will happen to Pakistani and Bangladesh because of the color of their skin.
And Modi has already taken a firm stand against US coercion while back channel diplomacy and lobbying is active. So, what the author preaches is already happening.
It is not Resentment , but the nepotism and anti american policies were being pursued by some indian tech companies to get permanent residency in the usa, through backchannel is responsible for that.. Great article with alot of commonsense.I really hope our leaders who in their own branding pursuit have gone overboard with the Vishwaguru image for the country which we are not. However harsh and painful the lesson is the learning to hide our strength jyst like China did.

That continued for decades without a check because there was a demand supply gap. No longer. This has led to widespread anger against Indians.
