These are all obvious conclusions, known things. I’m not able to understand what stops India into accepting these realities. South Korea did it, Taiwan did it, Vietnam is doing it. Why can’t India? In fact India should have close economic partnership not only with USA, but also with France, Germany, Canada, the UK, the Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and a few highly industrialized east European countries . India is too big. And it’ll be mutually beneficial. The main obstacle is about the plight of Indian farmers. That issue can be solved by providing them skilled training, facilities for free so they can be utilized in other professions like manufacturing, services, etc. It’s time India takes the big leap forward. The Indian govt. must take strong decisions to overcome vote-bank pressure and go ahead.
