However, if one considers the totality of Western media, they represent an enlightened source of news and analysis. It may hurt our diplomats to read what is now beginning to sound like a dirge. Somehow our rebuttals now seem more pro forma, not expected to win any new converts. 2. An unflattering portrait emerges from Shri Karan Thapar’s interview with Ambassador K C Singh for Wire. Answers partially what has long troubled me – Are our diplomats silent or do they tender sound advice and are then overruled.
