An Islamic Pak will never change and neither alter its stand on Kashmir being part of a Hindu India though it’s a secular nation. Further Pak is still smarting under 1971 defeat and break up itching for revenge. Pak always sees India as a Hindu country and unfortunately the Modi led BJP govt. is only further reinforcing Pak beliefs
by their Hindutva policies. On the other hand after 7 decades India cannot be expected to give up its sovereignty over Kashmir.Given this complex opposed conundrum there is no easy solution. For India there is no alternative but go to war with Pak for bringing peace in the region thereafter for atleast 5-6 decades as it happened after 1971.
I have been reading such stories since 1999. Right from Kargil to Pulwama. Its the same set of stories that get rehashed. Deny, Drama, Decieve repeat. Right from Musharraf saying OBL was possibly dead in 2002 to Pakistan wont be used as terrorist haven in 2004 etc etc. The only thing that changes is the person who is writing it. The same story was rehashed during Pathankot, Uri and now after Pulwama. Its an attempt to give give a face saver to Pakiantan establishment and play the “non state” actor tune. Wonder if the author has heard – little knowledge is dangerous. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
Author just born in pakistan few days back got some flying connection to write such missleading preception.
Hello folks what ever Pakistan did in past was in best interest of entire region to keep a balance of power.

If the author’s thesis is correct, it seems it will need a sustained effort of years, even decades, to cleanse Pak of its jihadi elements in all those institutions. In the short run, India has nothing more to look for except strengthen its anti-terror efforts.
It would be good for Pakistan, for all of South Asia, if that process of cleansing starts. There needs to be greater receptivity in India to the idea that Pakistan might at some stage, after doing a cost benefit analysis, wish to close down its support for terror. Even with major issues outstanding, increased Pakistani exports to India is something that should be encouraged and facilitated.
