The team lead by Professor Nikku Madhusudhan of University of Cambridge discovered chemical footprints of molecules associated with life on exoplanet K2-18b, 124 light years from Earth.

The planet named Proxima d orbits Proxima Centauri every 5 days. It's estimated to be just about a quarter of Earth’s mass, making it one of the lightest 'exoplanets'.
The potential planet is located 28 million light years away, in the Messier 51 (M51) galaxy. It is thought to be the size of Saturn, orbiting its host — a neutron star or a black hole.
