Kerala has recorded an unprecedented 160 cases of amoebic meningoencephalitis this year. But for an infection with a death rate of about 97%, it has been only 23% in the state so far.
Findings published Tuesday also said that over 39 crore deaths caused directly or indirectly by antibiotic-resistant infections are estimated to occur worldwide by 2050.
Initial talks held on the possibility of India entering the programme that was started in 2017 between France, Germany and Spain to ensure European sovereignty in defence and security.
