Bihar, Telangana, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP, West Bengal — states across India are witnessing violent protests against 'Agnipath', the Union govt's new military recruitment scheme.
Protests against Agnipath scheme have spread to the south while shaking up other states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh & Haryana since it was announced Tuesday.
Angry youth continued to agitate against the recruitment scheme in Bihar for the second day. There were also reports of violence from Varanasi, Mathura, Firozabad and Jaunpur.
The scheme is being introduced full-fledged at a time when the country is in a standoff with China. The Russian experience in Ukraine isn’t encouraging.
