Jyoti Yadav is a Principal Correspondent with ThePrint. She writes features on gender crimes, youth, unemployment, rural and small-town India. Over the last four years, she has travelled extensively in India to cover the aftermaths of the migrant exodus, healthcare infrastructure, mass cremations in second Covid wave, gender representation in lower judiciary and decades-old gang rapes, etc. She has been awarded the UN Laadli Media award thrice for her gender sensitive reporting. She was also one of the finalists at the Young Thomson Foundation Award 2022. Born and raised in a Haryana village, she did her graduation and post-graduation from Delhi University.
