Ahmedabad, May 3 (PTI) Suryansh Shedge hit a fine 29-ball 57 as Punjab Kings recovered from a poor start to post a decent 163 for 9 against Gujarat Titans in their IPL match here on Sunday.
Sent in to bat, PBKS were reduced to 47-5 in the 9th over but Shedge steadied the ship with a 79-run stand off 44 balls with Marcus Stoinis (40). However, once they departed, Punjab couldn’t get the momentum in the death overs.
For GT, Jason Holder (4/24) was the most successful bowler, while Kagiso Rabada (2/22) and Mohammed Siraj (2/28) also snapped two wickets each.
Brief Score: PBKS: 162 for 9 in 20 overs (Suryansh Shedge 57; Jason Holder 4/24). PTI ATK UNG
