New Delhi, Oct 12 (PTI) The United States’ left-arm pacer Tara Norris will join Mumbai Indians for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) next year following a successful trade deal with UP Warriorz.
The 28-year-old Norris, who was signed by the Warriorz for a sum of Rs 10 lakh ahead of the 2026 season, will join MI for the same fee, the WPL said in a statement on Monday.
“Norris will join MI at her existing fee of INR 10 lakh,” the WPL said.
Norris made history at the inaugural WPL auction after becoming the first player from an Associate nation to be picked by a franchise.
She represented the Delhi Capitals in the opening season and became the first bowler to register a five-wicket haul in WPL.
She has played in five ODIs and 17 WT20Is, and made her US debut in 2021.
The fifth season of the Women’s Premier League will be held from January 14 to February 7, 2027. PTI PDS
