2029 World Police & Fire Games to be held in Gujarat: CM Patel

Ahmedabad, Jun 26 (PTI) Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday announced that the 2029 World Police & Fire Games (WPFG) will be held in the state as India has won the bid to host the championship.

“India has won the bid to host the 2029 World Police & Fire Games (WPFG) in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar & Ekta Nagar, following a comprehensive bid presentation to the WPFG Federation in Birmingham, USA,” the CM wrote on X.

“This global victory reflects the visionary leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and is a big step towards making Ahmedabad the sporting capital of India,” he added.

Gujarat Minister of State for Sports Harsh Sanghavi also welcomed the development and said, “Gujarat is ready to make its mark on the world sports map! Let’s get ready to host the world!” PTI PJT PD KRK
