  1. It appears that Modi never penalised any opposition politician except perhaps Lallu for strategic reasons , remember 2G . Just wait, like Nirav Modi in UK, shortly Lallu will also get bail on health reasons in a month or two.

Sonia did not talk much against Modi and is in twilight of her career. The fact is Modi allowed her to win. Rahul made fatal and unfortunate error of repeating “Chowkidar Chor hai” . Had he not used this remark, Modi would not have called Rajeev Gandhi a “Corrupt Leader” and also might not have taught a decisive lesson through Ms Irani.

  2. When the general election process started, the BSP and the SP, somewhat disdainfully, “ left “ Amethi and Rae Bareilly, for the Congress. There had been a recent troubled history in the state elections of December, where the stakes for these two parties were much lower, a little magnanimity may have untangled the knot. Perhaps the Congress could have negotiated about eight seats for itself, joined the Alliance, instead of ending up fighting against it. In friendly terms, as the President clarified. Introducing Ms Priyanka Gandhi at an odd time. The decision to fight from Wayanad as well was an indication of what the party’s real strength was. Now comes the humbling loss in Amethi. It is entirely possible that the opposition, even with greater unity, could not withstood the storm. However, it would be fair criticism to say that the Congress did not come across as a sagacious alliance builder.
