New Delhi: As A.K. Antony’s son Anil Antony joined the BJP and former Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad recounted how Rahul Gandhi let Himanta Biswa Sarma go, the Gandhi scion Saturday hit back at the trio as well as former party colleagues Kiran Kumar Reddy and Jyotiraditya Scindia.

In a tweet, Rahul used the term ‘Adani’ to spell out names of five people — Sarma, the Assam chief minister; former J&K CM Azad, former Andhra CM Reddy, Aviation Minister Scindia, and Anil Antony.

“They’re hiding the truth and that’s why they distract! The question remains the same- who does the Rs 20,000 crore benami money in Adani’s company belong to?” Rahul tweeted in Hindi.

Apart from Reddy and Antony who joined the BJP in the last two days, C.R. Kesavan, great grandson of C. Rajagopalachari, too, joined the ruling party in the same period after quitting the Congress earlier.

Responding to the jibe, Sarma tweeted that he would meet Rahul in the court of law while dragging him to the Bofors and National Herald controversies.

Anil Antony responded saying it was “sad” to see a former president of a national party speak like a “troll”.

“…Very humbled to see my fledgling name also with these tall stalwarts who have contributed decades for nation building work – and had to leave the party as they preferred to work for India and our people and not for a family (sic),” he tweeted.

Reddy, Azad and Scindia were yet to respond to Rahul’s jibe till the publishing of this report.
