New Delhi: All India Majis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asadudddin Owaisi has criticised the Supreme Court’s verdict on Ayodhya land dispute in unequivocal terms.
Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, the AIMIM chief said he wasn’t satisfied with the judgment, and that the Muslim side should reject the Supreme Court’s 5-acre alternate land offer to build a mosque.
“Not satisfied with the verdict. Supreme Court is indeed supreme but not infallible,” he said.

Owaisi also made a statement on the SC’s order stating that a 5-acre land be allocated to Muslims in Ayodhya to rebuild the mosque that was demolished in 1992.
“We have full faith in the Constitution, we were fighting for our right, we don’t need 5-acre land as donation,” Owaisi said.
“We should reject this 5 acre land offer, don’t patronise us,” he added.
The Supreme Court Saturday pronounced that the Ram temple will come up on the disputed land in Ayodhya, and said Muslims will get an alternative land measuring five acres.
Owaisi also said Muslims have been deceived by all political parties — including the Congress.

Congress’ deceit and hypocrisy also to blame: Owaisi
Owaisi hit out at the Congress, saying if it weren’t for the Rajiv Gandhi government, the Babri Masjid would still be there.
“Congress has shown their true colours, but for Congress party’s deceitness & hypocrisy, idols would not have been placed in 1949, had the locks not opened by Rajiv Gandhi the masjid would still be there, had Narasimha Rao discharged his duties the masjid would still be there, Owaisi added.
He also retweeted a statement by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, which said, “The judgment is against our expectations. We presented solid evidences to prove our stance. Our legal committee will review the judgment. We have sincerely tried to fulfill our responsibility to restore the demolished #BabriMasjid.”

Site of mosque not replaceable: AIMPLB
Speaking to ThePrint, AIMPLB’s senior member Kamal Farooqui said the site of the mosque isn’t replaceable.
“This isn’t about being able to build the mosque elsewhere. That’s not relevant. The site of the mosque is not replaceable,” he said.
“The point is that this was my house, I was praying there. The honorable judges have even acknowledged that it was demolished,” he added.

The verdict is universally accepted except few disgruntled persons. These people want enmity to prevail and so they can mine eternally. It is the suit that has been decided by SC taking into consideration the truth. I believe this man needs to be exchanged with Jadav so both country is happy. Owaisi is much need in Pakistan to control Taliban.
This man is trouble creator. The verdict is universally accepted except few disgruntled persons. These people want enmity to prevail and so they can mine eternally. If this verdict helps in maintaining harmony between two communities then better accept it and move forward. Hope no such attack will be faced by any other religious site or building, in India.
Donate that 5acer for some philanthropic work.
I was expecting this kind of verdict when all BJP leaders – including the foul mouthed UP CM – started advising “we should respect the verdict of SC whatever it may be” for some time. Justice system had always been accused of being on the side of powerful and with this it sided with the majoritarian.
Mathura/Varanasi will be kept at the back burner or now only to be brought back and used when thee is a need to whip up the emotions of people for their political gains..
So sad….
One must confess to mixed emotions on the directive regarding grant of five acres of land. It was meant to bring finality but somehow it reduces the entire long running dispute to Do gaz zameen. An anguished Muslim might ask, Is this what our hurts add up to ? It is also not really about one old mosque or a temple associated with the birthplace of Lord Ram. If we are true to our conscience, this was about two tectonic plates grinding into each other, a quest for power and dominion. 2. Better that it has ended, in an institution beyond which there is no temporal appeal or recourse.
It will help in the days ahead if a conscience effort is made to improve communal harmony in the country, there is a complete end to hate crimes directed against the minorities. Dr Mohan Bhagwan’s statement that the RSS will not push the issue regarding the mosques at Varanasi and Mathura will be widely welcomed.
