Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa is set to expand his council of ministers Tuesday, after running the state government under a one-man cabinet for close to a month.
On Tuesday, 17 ministers will take oath at Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru at 10.30 am.
The move comes after BJP chief and Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave the green signal to induct the first batch of ministers for the state government, said sources in the party.
Given that Yediyurappa can induct a total of 34 ministers, the first list of ministers shows the chief minister has left space for the 17 rebel MLAs whose future is yet to be decided by the Supreme Court. They have appealed against their disqualification by the previous Karnataka speaker, K.R. Ramesh Kumar.
Here is the full list of cabinet ministers who will be inducted in the Karnataka government Tuesday.
