In the lead cartoon by Arvind, the cartoonist takes a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s numerous foreign visits and simultaneous loss of BJP in the recently held Uttar Pradesh bypolls. While Modi is trying to win the hearts of its eastern neighbours, it is losing ground in UP.

The second cartoon has a similar tone of BJP’s loss in the Uttar Pradesh bypolls. Cartoonist Satish Acharya pokes fun at BJP’s loss which was a much-anticipated win for the party.

Neelabh Banerjee has a laugh on the current fuel price hike by the government and an uncanny defeat of the BJP party in the bypolls – a ‘tit for tat’ message sent out by the voters.

Cartoonist Irfan takes a dig at BJP’s announcement of relaxing fuel prices by 1 paise per day, a currency denomination that is in the past now.

Suhail Naqshbandi comments on Army officer Leetul Gogoi’s case. In a latest, it was discovered that the Major’s used a fake Facebook user id to chat with a young girl. Suhail takes a dig at the officer’s previous controversy of tying a civilian on an army jeep during a stone-pelting episode in Kashmir, showing that no action was taken against him even then.

BBC News Hindi takes a dig at BJP’s endless ways of injecting money into other parties to ensure support and Congress’ empty coffers.
