Nagpur, Aug 23 (PTI) A 28-year-old pillion rider was killed after her two-wheeler skidded on a road after a dog suddenly crossed its path in Hingna town in Nagpur district, police said on Sunday.

The deceased, identified as Ekta Suresh Kalamkar, was headed to her home after appearing for a bank examination at CPC College in Mihan area on Saturday.

The two-wheeler rider, identified as Chetan Dhakate, lost control of the moped on Vrindavan City Road when a dog suddenly ran across the road.

Kalmkar suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to AIIMS Nagpur, where she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday morning.

The Hingna Police have registered a case of accidental death. PTI COR NSK
