Srinagar, Oct 11 (PTI) A woman died after she jumped from the second floor of a house which caught fire in the Noorbagh area here, officials said on Sunday.
As the intensity of the flames grew, Haleema Sheikh jumped from the second floor of the residential house at Jehangir Mohalla, they said.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, the officials said.
They said fire tenders were rushed to the spot, which brought the blaze under control, adding that the extent if damage caused by the fire is being ascertained. PTI MIJ ARI
