Firozabad (UP), Jul 18 (PTI) A woman and her eight-year-old son were killed, while three others, including the child’s father, were injured after their car rammed into a parked truck here on Saturday evening, police said.
Makhanpur Station House Officer Chaman Sharma said the accident occurred on the Biltigarh bypass, within the Makhanpur police station area, while the victims were travelling from Agra to Mainpuri in a car.
Sachin Kumar, a resident of Kurawali in Mainpuri district, was travelling with his wife Rakhi (30), their son Agrim (8), the driver and two other occupants when the vehicle allegedly lost control and crashed into a parked truck, the officer said.
Police said Rakhi and Agrim died in the accident, while Sachin, the driver and another occupant sustained serious injuries. The injured have been admitted to a hospital.
The officer said the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination and further legal proceedings are underway. PTI COR CDN ASD ASD
