Mumbai, May 25 (PTI) There was a “very slight improvement” in the health of former Maharashtra chief minister and ex-Lok Sabha speaker Manohar Joshi though his condition continues to be critical, his son said on Thursday.

Joshi (85) was admitted to the P D Hinduja hospital here on Monday after suffering brain haemorrhage. He was in a semi-coma though not on ventilator support, the doctors had said a day before.

“There is a very slight improvement in his health and there is no further deterioration,” said the veteran Shiv Sena leader’s son, Unmesh Joshi.

There was no update from the hospital.

Union ministers Narayan Rane and Nitin Gadkari visited Joshi at the hospital. Both were part of the Joshi-led cabinet when he was chief minister during 1995-99. PTI PR KRK KRK
