Chandigarh, Oct 25 (PTI) Congress general secretary (Organisation) K C Venugopal, who arrived in Chandigarh on Sunday evening, exuded confidence that his party will emerge victorious in the 2027 Punjab Assembly Polls.
Punjab Congress chief Pargat Singh, Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa, and Congress MP Amrinder Singh Raja Warring received Venugopal at the Chandigarh Airport.
Sachin Pilot, party’s in-charge for Punjab, was also present.
Speaking to the media, Venugopal said he will be holding meetings for the election due early next year.
Preparations for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Sangrur visit on November 4 will also be part of Venugopal’s agenda.
Meetings scheduled for Monday will focus on further strengthening the Punjab Congress organisation and accelerating preparations for the forthcoming elections. PTI CHS VN
