Shimla, Jun 19 (PTI) Shimla Police on Friday arrested an American citizen for indecent behaviour and causing public nuisance.
The action followed a viral video that showed the foreigner, identified as Joshua Christian, behaving rudely with people and making indecent gestures at Shimla’s Ridge Maidan.
Taking cognisance of the video, the Shimla Police promptly identified and arrested the individual under Section 114 of the Himachal Pradesh Police Act, said an officer.
Police further appealed to all citizens and tourists to maintain decorum and act responsibly in public places.
