Lakhimpur Kheri (UP), Sep 7 (PIT) Three youths were killed and several sustained injuries when a speeding car rammed into a transformer in Oel town near the Lakhimpur-Sitapur highway, police said on Monday.
The incident occurred late on Sunday night, and the victims were identified as Ayush Kumar, Akash Verma and Shiva Singh, Oel police outpost in-charge Dimple Kumar told PTI.
He noted that all the deceased and injured individuals were between the ages of 21 and 25.
The injured were immediately taken to Lucknow after receiving preliminary treatment at the district hospital, Kumar said.
