Bilaspur (HP), May 16 (PTI) Union health minister and senior BJP leader JP Nadda on Saturday visited the famous temple of Maa Naina Devi in Himachal’s Bilaspur district and offered prayers to the Maa.
It was his first visit to his home district after the BJP’s massive win in elections in West Bengal and other states. He performed the ritualistic worship of Mata Naina Devi at the Shaktipeeth and received her blessings, seeking peace and prosperity for both the nation and the state.
When the Union minister arrived at the temple, the priests and members of the Temple Trust accorded him a grand welcome at the parking area.
Subsequently, he proceeded to the temple complex, where a special puja was conducted amid the chanting of Vedic mantras.
Local BJP MLA and Chief spokesperson Randhir Sharma was also present.
The temple trust presented him with a sari and prasad.
Security arrangements in the temple vicinity were stepped up in view of Nadda’s visit, and a large number of BJP workers and devotees were also present.
