Union government launches Special Campaign 4.0 for Clean Governance

New Delhi: Union Minister of Coal & Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, launched the implementation phase of the Special Campaign 4.0 at the Ministry of Coal’s office premises in New Delhi today. The campaign, running from 2 October to 31st focuses on promoting cleanliness (Swachhata) and reducing pendency in government functions, a PIB press release stated.

Accompanied by senior officials, Minister Reddy inspected the office premises, assessing cleanliness and the overall working environment. The inspection emphasized the campaign’s goal of maintaining high standards in government operations.

Special Campaign 4.0 aims to enhance office spaces and promote modern cleaning practices. The campaign also emphasizes converting waste into wealth, fostering inclusivity, prioritizing citizen-centric approaches, and strengthening existing protocols and mechanisms.

During the inspection, Minister Reddy praised an employee’s creativity for creating an art box from waste materials. He highlighted the importance of recycling and sustainable practices, encouraging all staff members to find innovative solutions that improve the workplace while promoting waste reduction and environmental sustainability. The Special Campaign 4.0 underscores the importance of cleanliness as a reflection of a responsible and environmentally conscious work culture. A clean and hygienic workplace is emphasized as a key factor in enhancing productivity and employee morale.
