Thane, Jun 17 (PTI) The body of an unidentified woman was found in a garbage collection van at a dumping ground in the Kalyan civic limits of Maharashtra’s Thane district on Wednesday, officials said.
Some persons working at the Khambalpada dumping ground of the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation spotted the body and alerted the police, an official said.
The deceased was believed to be in her mid-30s. The autopsy report was awaited, and efforts were underway to identify her, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Dombivili, Suhas Hemade said.
The police have as of now registered a case of accidental death and were probing it, the official said. PTI COR GK
