Pune, Nov 7 (PTI) An unidentified man was booked for calling emergency helpline 112 and giving false information about a bomb attack at Pune international airport, a police official said on Saturday.
The call was made at 7:08 pm on November 5, after which an alert was received on the police Mobile Data Terminal (MDT), though a probe found the information was false as no such incident had taken place, the official said.
“The caller provided false information, put the safety of people at Pune airport at risk and attempted to disturb public peace,” he said.
A case was registered at Airport police station under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rash and negligent act endangering human life, public mischief and other offences, the official said. PTI COR BNM
