Beed, Apr 24 (PTI) Two houses were gutted in a fire following an LPG cylinder explosion at Pattivadgaon in Ambajogai tehsil of the district on Friday morning, police said.

No casualties were reported.

The incident occurred when food was being prepared for the tenth-day post-death ritual at the residence of Balasaheb Jadhav who lost his wife to cancer earlier this month, said an official.

The furnace suddenly caught fire. The flames then engulfed the gas cylinder connected to it, leading to a massive explosion.

The mud-and-wood house and a neighbouring house were nearly destroyed in the resultant blaze. PTI COR KRK
