Gurugram, Jun 2 (PTI) Two buses collided head-on in front of the Indian Oil petrol pump on the Farrukhnagar-Jhajjar Road on Tuesday, leaving several passengers and drivers of both buses injured, police said.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred in the morning when a bus carrying passengers from Farrukhnagar crashed into the another bus that appeared from the opposite direction. More than half a dozen passengers were injured.
Locals and passersby immediately began rescue operations, pulling the injured out of the buses.
Police and ambulances arrived at the scene as soon as they were informed. The injured were admitted to a government hospital in Farrukhnagar and another hospital in Gurugram, where they are currently undergoing treatment, police said.
Police inspected the scene, removed both buses from the road, and launched an investigation.
A senior police officer said preliminary investigations suggest that either negligence or speeding can be the cause of the accident. PTI COR KSI KSI
