Gurugram, Oct 11 (PTI) Gurugram police has arrested two accused from Hisar in connection with the kidnapping of a young man over previous enmity, police said on Sunday.

A case was registered at Sector 10A police station on October 8, after a man in his complaint alleged that some individuals had assaulted his son and abducted him in a car at Labour Chowk in Garhi-Harsaru on the evening of October 7.

During the investigation, the Crime Branch, Sector 31, arrested two accused from Hisar on October 10.

The accused were identified as Nitin, a resident of Pathrawa, District Mahendragarh and Manjeet alias Khush, a resident of Marot, District Jhajjar, in Haryana, they added.

During interrogation, it was revealed that they had a previous enmity with the complainant’s son over some issue, due to which they allegedly committed the kidnapping.

“While taking the complainant’s son away, the accused’s car met with an accident, following which they abandoned him at the spot and fled. We are questioning the accused,” the spokesperson of Gurugram police said. PTI COR SHS

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
