Faridabad, Sep 17 (PTI) Two men allegedly kidnapped a man here at gunpoint, kept him for seven days and demanded Rs 5 lakh ransom from his family, police said.
Faridabad Police have arrested the two men who are alleged to have assaulted the victim, poured petrol on his private parts and forced him to drink it, they said.
However, the victim managed to send his location to his family members who informed the police. Subsequently, the young man’s relatives and police arrived at the place and rescued him. By then, all the accused had managed to flee but later police arrested them.
According to police, the accused were identified as Deepak alias Kale and Lucky, both residents of Ali village in Delhi.
According to the police, on September 8, an acquaintance named Vicky called the complainant to Dheeraj Nagar, Faridabad under the pretext of some urgent business. Upon arrival, the complainant met Vicky, his brother Lucky, and three or four other youths.
Vicky allegedly pointed a pistol at the victim, forced him into a car, blindfolded him, and took him away. The accused allegedly assaulted him and demanded that he arrange Rs 5 lakh rupees from his family, they added.
The accused allegedly harassed the complainant for about seven days and even poured petrol on him.
Finding an opportunity, the victim, however, sent his location to his family members, who informed the police.
Palla police registered a case and initiated an investigation.
“Two accused were arrested. The arrested accused Lucky and Deepak confessed that they held the victim captive and assaulted him. The police are searching for the remaining accused,” a Faridabad Police spokesperson said. PTI COR SKY SKY
