Thane, Aug 24 (PTI) A tree fell on the retaining wall of a school amid rains, damaging several parked vehicles in Thane city on Saturday, officials said.

No casualties were reported in the incident that occurred in the Pokhran-2 area shortly after 3 PM, said Yasin Tadvi, who heads the disaster management cell of Thane Municipal Corporation.

Personnel of various agencies rushed to the spot and removed the fallen tree using cutting equipment.

Debris from the damaged wall, approximately 10 to 15 feet long and 4 feet high, was removed along with the affected cars and two-wheelers, Tadvi added. PTI COR NSK
