Kolkata, Jun 13 (PTI) A training programme was held here on Saturday for the ministers in the BJP government in West Bengal, almost all of whom are first-timers, officials said.
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari attended and addressed the orientation and training camp organised by the Netaji Subhas Administrative Training Institute, they said.
Chief Secretary Manoj Agarwal and advisor to the chief minister, Subrata Gupta, also participated in the camp, which was held for the ministers in charge and ministers of state of the first BJP government in West Bengal.
Those present at the meeting included Commerce and Industries Minister Tapas Roy, Higher Education Minister Jagannath Chattopadhyay, School Education Minister Dipak Barman, Forest Minister Manoj Kumar Oraon and Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta.
Chief Minister Adhikari was a minister in the Mamata Banerjee cabinet before he left the Trinamool Congress and joined the BJP in December 2020. PTI AMR ACD
