Jaipur, Jun 15 (PTI) A 40-year-old building material trader was found dead inside the trunk of a car parked on a roadside in Jaipur on Monday morning, police said.

He had been missing for two days, they said.

The deceased was identified as Harishankar Sharma, a resident of Vidhani in the Shivdaspura area, and his family has accused his friend of killing him over a financial dispute.

Sharma left his house on Saturday morning and could not be contacted after around 7 pm, as his mobile phone was found to have been switched off. His family informed police and registered a missing person report at the Shivdaspura police station.

His body was recovered on Monday from the trunk of a car parked about 100 metres away from the victim’s residence. Police said the body has multiple injury marks and was wrapped in plastic sheets and sacks.

The accused friend, Sitaram Khoj, has been detained and is being questioned, police said. PTI SDA PRK
