Chennai, June 3 (PTI) Tamil Nadu government has transferred state DGP Sandeep Rai Rathore and posted him as DGP prisons and correctional services.

An official release on Wednesday said that K Shankar, who was serving as ADGP prisons and correctional services, was transferred and posted as DGP, Enforcement Bureau CID, Chennai in the existing vacancy.

Sources from the Home Department also said that Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal is expected to take charge as the DGP on Wednesday. Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal is currently serving as the special director general in the Border Security Force.
