Lucknow, Aug 3 (PTI) Police in Lucknow booked three unidentified drivers for allegedly vandalising a school van at Charak Crossing under Chowk police station area on Monday, a police official said.
The police have not confirmed the identity of the drivers amid accusations that the kanwariyas vandalised the van.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Kamlesh Kumar Dixit said, “At Charak Crossing under Chowk police station today, 3 unidentified vehicle drivers vandalised a school van in the morning. On getting information, police reached the spot. But, by then, the unidentified drivers had fled from the spot. A case has been registered, and strict action will be taken against the guilty.” Video of the vandalised vehicle doing the rounds on social media showed that the window glass of the school van was broken and schoolgirls were standing on the street.
