Hyderabad, Jul 24 (PTI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has asked why the BRS is silent on the demand for resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET irregularities issue, alleging a tacit understanding between the regional party and the BJP.
In an informal interaction with mediapersons here on Thursday, he said 27 students died by suicide in Telangana in 2019 when an alleged ‘benami’ company of BRS Working President K T Rama Rao indulged in irregularities in evaluation of Intermediate (11th and 12th standard) exam papers.
He said Rama Rao should apologise for this.
He also alleged that BRS helped the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, which led to the saffron party winning eight Lok Sabha seats.
He asked why the BJP got leads in Gajwel, Sircilla and Siddipet assembly segments during the parliament election as these three segments are represented in the Assembly by BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, K T Rama Rao and KCR’s nephew T Harish Rao respectively.
Referring to the state government seeking a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project built during the previous BRS regime, he said the state government forwarded the report of the judicial commission on the issue to the Centre.
Reddy lauded the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) for protecting government lands and reviving lakes. PTI SJR KH
