New Delhi, Nov 5 (PTI) The body of an unidentified teenager, aged between 15 and 17 years, was found floating in a drain near Jagatpur Metro Station in Delhi’s Wazirabad area on Thursday, police said.
The body was spotted by passersby, who alerted the police. A team from the Wazirabad police station, along with forensic experts, reached the spot.
Divers from the Boat Club were called in and retrieved the body from the drain after considerable effort, police said.
No apparent injury marks were found on the body during a preliminary examination.
The body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death.
Police have alerted nearby police stations to help establish the teenager’s identity.
