Thiruvananthapuram, May 13 (PTI) The TDB on Wednesday signed a MoU with the KITSFRA for the complete digitisation of temples and offices functioning under the board.
The agreement was signed at the Travancore Devaswom Board headquarters here by Devaswom Commissioner B Sunilkumar on behalf of the TDB and the Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited (KITSFRA) Director Rahul K Raj.
As part of the project, temple administration, file movement in offices, financial transactions in temples and offices, services for devotees and various online facilities connected to Sabarimala Temple would be brought under a digital platform, according to an official statement.
Officials said the first module, covering online services related to Sabarimala, is expected to be implemented before the upcoming Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season.
The digitisation initiative is aimed at ensuring faster, more efficient and transparent services for devotees, the board said.
TDB president K Jayakumar, board members K Raju and P D Santhosh Kumar, and secretary P N Ganeswaran Potty, among others, attended the function, the TDB statement added. PTI LGK KH
