The bus driver told the occupants that stones were thrown at the bus by unidentified persons.
A Congress leader, in a complaint lodged with Devanapally police, alleged that unknown persons threw stones at the bus when they were returning from Delhi to Hyderabad. Based on a complaint, a case was registered.
A total of 34 Congress leaders and workers were travelling in the bus towards Hyderabad, and no one was injured in the alleged incident, a police official said.
As per preliminary investigation, no stone was found, and no person was identified so far. However, the investigation is underway, the official said.
Police suspect that the bus window pane might have been shattered because it either brushed against another vehicle or it could be an air-crack. PTI VVK SJR SJR ADB
