Srinagar, Jul 10 (PTI) Police on Friday carried out coordinated searches at the residences of several Jammu and Kashmir Nationals Operating from Pakistan (JKNOP) in Baramulla district.
As part of sustained efforts to maintain peace, strengthen security, and curb activities inimical to public order, police in Baramulla conducted coordinated searches at the residential houses of JKNOPs, their family residences, and other closely associated structures in Kreeri, Boniyar, Kamalkote, and Kunzer areas, a police spokesman said.
He said the searches were conducted in accordance with the provisions of law under the supervision of Executive Magistrates and in the presence of independent witnesses, ensuring due legal procedure and transparency throughout the operation.
The objective of the searches was to gather intelligence, ascertain any recent developments, identify possible communication or links with handlers from across the border, and prevent any attempt to revive or facilitate unlawful or anti-national activities, the spokesman said.
