Ranchi, Sep 14 (PTI) Using simple Hindi and ensuring a transparent system go a long way in strengthening good governance, said Jharkhand’s Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha Department Secretary Pravin Toppo on Monday.
Addressing a Hindi Diwas event here, he said the benefits of welfare schemes reach people smoothly when the language used for government communication is understood easily by the public.
Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on September 14 to mark the adoption of Hindi as an official language by the Constituent Assembly on September 14, 1949.
“The real identity of good governance lies in simple Hindi, easy procedures, and a transparent system. Work should be made easier for citizens by reducing unnecessary complex words and procedures in offices,” Toppo said.
He said the use of technology is enhancing transparency, ensuring that every decision and process is clear and accountable. “Online services, time-bound disposal and the monitoring of grievances strengthen public trust.” Appealing to officers and employees to adopt simple language and a clear working style, he urged them to keep public interest paramount, so that the administration can get closer to people.
