Shimla, May 13 (PTI) In a major crackdown on inter-state drug trafficking networks, Shimla police on Wednesday nabbed two key drug suppliers from Ludhiana (Punjab) and Chandigarh, police said.

Addressing mediapersons here, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Shimla, Abhishek Dhiman said that the accused have been identified as Gurmeet alias Billa, a resident of Faridkot (Punjab) and Shiv Shankar, a resident of Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh). He said that while Gurmeet was nabbed from Ludhiana, Shiv Shankar was arrested from Chandigarh.

The ASP said that the involvement of both the drug suppliers was unearthed after several individuals were allegedly arrested in the district with chitta (adulterated heroin) in two different cases. PTI/COR MNK MNK
